EV Chargepoint Grant for Renters and Flat Owners
Tenants and people who own and live in a flat may be able to claim:
75% towards the cost of purchasing and installing an EV chargepoint, up to a maximum of £500.
You may qualify if:
- You rent and live in a residential property, or own and live in a flat.
- Your home has a private, clearly defined off-street parking space.
- You own, lease, use or have ordered an eligible electric vehicle.
- You have permission from the landlord, freeholder or property manager.
- The property is an existing home in the UK.
- You have not previously received this grant or one of its predecessor home-charging grants.
How the Application Works
- Contact Gavin Jones Electrical for an assessment and written quotation.
- Confirm that the proposed chargepoint is on the OZEV eligible-equipment list.
- Obtain any required permission from the landlord, freeholder or property manager.
- Submit the online grant application to OZEV.
- Wait for written confirmation of eligibility before arranging the installation.
- We install and commission the chargepoint and provide the required certification and photographic evidence.
- The approved grant is claimed against the eligible installation cost.
The chargepoint must not be installed before OZEV confirms that the application is eligible. This can take up to 15 weeks.
